A visit to Ubumanzi is a true African bushveld experience that cannot be matched.  This private reserve is nestled in the heart of the malaria-free Waterberg, only 2 hours drive North of Pretoria.

Our lodge provides luxurious and spacious en-suite accommodation.  In the unique leadwood bar and lounge area (complete with cosy fire) the turmoil of city life is forgotten.

Delicious buffet brunches and scrumptious dinners are served in our African inspired lapa.

Enjoy a sundowner on our deck area, while gazing across the bushveld plains which reach into the valley below.

Attractions

An experienced game ranger and guide is onhand and accompany you on day and nights drives in open game viewing vehicles. Some of the species you can see roaming the reserve are rhino, leopard, giraffe, brown hyena, aardwolf, waterbuck, eland, gemsbok, zebra, red hartebeest, impala, blesbok, blou-wildebeest, kudu, civet and caracal. There is an abundance of birdlife to be seen.

Ubumanzi proudly boasts over 210 species of birdlife, including black eagle, fish eagle and white stork.

WALKING TRAILS
The trails not only bring closer to protected Eugene Marais Cycad (which only occur in the concervancy) but also lead you through yellowood and fern forests which provides a special treat for nature lovers. Some of the trails which lead to the fountains high in the mountains, offer breath taking views of farms nestling in the valley.
